IE5 series of asynchronous motors
This is a series of asynchronous motors with the highest efficiency ever reported.
We have developed a full technical documentation for production of asynchronous motors of IE5 series including:
  1. a complete technical specification of the motor;
  2. a full specification of the stator winding and electromagnetic core of the motor;
  3. a complete design of the motor with all the components comprising STEP files for the components and for the motor assembly and accompanying drawings in a format preferred by the customer.

Why IE5?
  1. Our IE5 motor designs have 20%-25% lower losses compared to IE4 as specified in IEC 60034-40-1 2014.
  2. Our IE5 motor designs share the same axis heights and the same output powers as in the existing series of asynchronous motors, namely IE1-IE4.
  3. Our IE5 motor designs have the lowest operational costs due to the highest efficiency ever reported for a series of asynchronous motors.
  4. The overall motor cost comprises the price of the motor and its operational costs. The overall motor cost of IE5 motors made according to our designs would be the lowest compared to any existing series of asynchronous motors.
  5. There have been attempts to develop series of permanent magnet synchronous machines and BLDC permanent magnet motors with increased efficiency approaching the level of our IE5 series. However permanent magnet machines have a higher price, which means that the price of IE5 motors made according to our designs and, of course, the overall motor cost would remain unsurpassed.
  6. Our IE5 motor designs comply with IEC standard on the starting torque. Therefore they do not require additional starting equipment and accompanying extra costs.
  7. Our IE5 motor designs are developed for Y connection. Such designs are more challenging to make, but they guarantee efficient operation even in case of asymmetry of the power supply.
  8. Our IE5 motor designs share a lot of parts with our IE3 and IE4 motor designs providing a reduction of manufacturing costs.
